Roles and Responsibilities

• Financial Data Entry: Accurately record financial transactions, including but not limited to invoices, expenses, and receipts into the accounting software.
• Accounts Payable: Assist with processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments. Maintain organized records of payables.
• Accounts Receivable: Assist with the preparation of customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly bank statements and investigate discrepancies or issues as they arise.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Help maintain the general ledger by coding transactions, posting journal entries, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Expense Tracking: Monitor and record employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Assist with Audits: Provide support during internal and external audits by organizing and retrieving financial data as required.
• Financial Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial data and trends to provide insights for decision-making.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both electronically and in hard copy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance OR ACCA Level II
• 2-3 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in the accounting field
